Robin Simsa, CEO of Revo Foods said that they are entering a creative culinary revolution, an era where food is prepared exactly according to customers’ needs.

Is the nutritional composition of 3D-printed salmon the same as the original version?

Like some other meat substitutes, the vegan 3D-printed salmon patties are composed primarily of mycoprotein derived from filamentous fungi. Nutritionally, this product is low in cholesterol but high in vitamins and minerals. Omega-3 fatty acids are the same as real salmon. It also contains a high protein amount, at 9.5 grams per 100 grams of meat, although this is still lower than the protein content of wild salmon.

An ecosystem savior

3D-printed salmon is a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fishing and aquaculture activities. Many fish species are at risk of extinction due to overfishing, and this activity is also the cause of environmental destruction and pollution.
